Who is this for?
Anyone who may be exposed to loud noise.
How long is the course?
25 minutes of interactive training
You will learn exactly how the ear works and how easy it is to damage your hearing permanently. By the end of the course you will know what the first signs of hearing loss are and have the skills to recognise them in time to stop serious damage occurring.
You will learn how noise levels are measured, the noise level that puts you at risk, and legal noise limits. You will learn the best ways to avoid loud noise on a regular basis and sudden exposure to noise above the legal limit. You will also find out whose responsibility it is to protect your hearing at work, and what they are legally obliged to do if noise is at an unacceptable level.
On completion of all of the above sections of the course you will take a 20-question multiple-choice test. You can then get a printed certificate to show you have completed the Noise Awareness training.
